Gerdes Solutions
Gerdes solutions is a company specialized in performing data collection with advanced sensors. We mainly deliver data collected from drones, but also from remotely operated boats, masts and/or ground. We also offer training and support to companies and organisations that want to develop their own drone organization.
The company was founded in 2018 by Gustav Gerdes. Gustav has a background as a photographer and began using drones for commercial assignments back in 2010. Since then, he has flown numerous systems in varying environments and for countless clients. Over the past decades, drone development has taken great steps forward and its potential to create benefits has increased enormously. Gustav’s ambition is for Gerdes solutions to contribute to continuing to develop the inspection industry with the help of drones. This is because drones are a safe, efficient and climate-smart alternative to many other methods.
Since we at Gerdes solutions put safety first, we are keen to use high-quality equipment and also to handle and maintain it correctly. We conduct careful risk analyses and, where necessary, take risk-minimizing measures to ensure safety both on the ground and in the air. Our pilots are trained to fly in the specific category. Gerdes Solutions’ flight permits allow flights with heavier and more advanced sensors in densely populated areas throughout all of Sweden. If necessary, the permits can also be extended to apply to other EU countries.
Not only flight safety but also information security is important to us. We offer flights with European-made drones and handle and store all data in the most secure way.

Permits
At Gerdes solutions we are committed to safety, quality and compliance. Our pilots are trained to fly in the specific category and we hold the following permits for unmanned aircrafts.
Generic operational authorization according to SORA for VLOS flights in populated areas, controlled or uncontrolled airspace below 120m AGL.
Generic operational authorization according to PDRA S01 for VLOS flights, over controlled ground areas in populated areas, controlled or uncontrolled airspace below 120m AGL.
Precise operational authorization according to PDRA G02 for BVLOS flights, over sparsely populated areas in restricted airspace below 1000m MSL.
Cross border Generic operational authorization according to PDRA S01 for VLOS flights, over controlled ground areas in populated areas, controlled or uncontrolled airspace below 120m AGL in Finland.
For assignments that require additional permits, we have high competence and extensive experience in applying for them from the Swedish Transport Agency and corresponding authorities in other EU countries.
Gerdes Solutions’ aviation liability insurance meets the requirements of Regulation (EG) 785/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council by a good margin.
